Clock #6104

Seth Thomas ships bell clock.

The brass case is in good condition but there is some discoloration to the finish. This model has a hinged front door style. The silvered dial is in very good condition and it is signed “Seth Thomas”. It has a separate seconds dial.

This clock mounts to the wall with three screws at the back edge of the case. The minute hand is missing. It is running but I cannot get the strike to operate. 10" diameter.

order - $195.

Clock #6169

Seth Thomas engine room or deck clock.

This has an unpolished sheet brass case with a bayonet style of bezel mounting. The silvered dial and seconds have discoloration but the numerals are clear.

The hands have been replaced. On the side of the case at the numeral VIII is a slot, the former function of which I cannot determine.

This is a 30 hour balance timepiece. The escapement is ok and with a bit of finger pressure on the gear train it will run but it will need a cleaning. 6 ¼" diameter.

Clock #7085

Lux Bobbing Bird Clock.

This particular clock was sold but I have others which are very similar.

Lux produced many models on this theme. Some have eyes that move, some wag their tails etc. and some of the rare ones have become fairly valuable.

In this model the case is made to look like a cuckoo clock and the bird bobs in and out of the door as the pendulum swings. Over the years I have gathered several of the two models shown here so you can purchase more than one if you wish.

The make great gifts for that young person and they might just start a collecting passion. My daughter still has her Lux collection 20 years after she got them. This one is 8" tall overall.

Clock #7086

Lux Bluebird Bobbing Clock.

This particular clock was sold but I have others which are very similar.

Lux Bluebird bobbing clock. These cute little clocks have a composite case with pressed in designs. Various parts of the case are painted.

This one has a colored bluebird dipping into and out of the nest feeding her little ones. The bird is attached to the pendulum so as it swings she bobs back and forth.

These are thirty hour timepieces key wound from the front. This one is 6" tall overall and it is running.

Clock #6058

French carriage clock.

This clock has a nice clean case with no tarnish, dents or damage and all five beveled glasses are also just about perfect. It has an unsigned porcelain dial with one cracked area at the lower right corner. The blued steel hands are original.

This is an 8 day timepiece movement with the original cylinder platform escapement. I have checked the escapement closely and there are no problems but it will run only a short time before it stops so it is overdue for a cleaning.

Nice larger size at 6 ¾" tall with handle.

order - $225.

Clock #6062

Chelsea desk clock.

This clock has a heavy aged bronzed case and interior with good color and patina. There are no case damages or flaws at all and the same is true for the heavy beveled glass. The case is initialed "C.D.V.".

There is a silvered dial in good condition and it is signed "Udall & Ballou, New York - Chelsea". Original silvered hands.

This is an 8 day timepiece. I was not able to get it ticking. The "fast-slow" indicator on the back is missing. 8" square.

Clock #8058

Rare Forestville Hardware and Clock Company porcelain shelf clock.

This clock must have been dropped because there are numerous cracks that have been reglued. However, it is such a rare model that I simply had to have it. Actually, the cracks were so poorly glued that soaking them apart and then doing a proper job would improve the looks a great deal.

It has the original brass bezel. Obviously the painted dial is badly flaking but enough remains to have a correct pattern for the repaint. Note there is a seconds dial at the bottom. The hands are improper replacements.

There is a wood box behind the front and it has the original white paint. The label covers the entire back. It is worn at the bottom but enough is clear so the maker's name is quite visible. This is a 30 hour balance timepiece. It is ticking so the escapement is good but it does not stay running. 9 ½" tall.
