6081 Waterbury carriage clock
This is the “Sage” model made about 1910. The brass case is in reasonably good condition showing only fairly minor wear. There are four beveled glass panels and each of them has corner chips. The porcelain dial has one hairline and a small flake at the center arbor. The minute hand appears to be a replacement.
This is an eight day clock with alarm. It does tick so the escapement is okay but it does not stay running.
5 ½” tall with handle. $65
6082 French carriage clock
This is a nicely shaped case with turned feet and it is in pretty good condition but for some spotting in the finish on the top. The porcelain dial is perfect but it would benefit with a little cleaning. The hands are the originals. The beveled glass on the back and one side have corner chips.
This is an eight day timepiece with a cylinder platform escapement and it is running. The rear plate of the movement is marked “H & H Made in France”.
6” tall with handle. SOLD
6083 French Art Nouveau clock
This is a delightful little clock and it would make a great gift. Originally, this white metal case was done in gold leaf but now it has a later layer of gold paint. There are no case damages or breaks
The porcelain dial is perfect and it has a floral center with a pair of gilded nouveau hands. The bezel is cast brass and it has a convex beveled glass.
This is an eight day clock with a platform lever escapement and it is running. The movement is simply marked “Made in France”.
7” tall. SOLD
6084 Wonderful German animated alarm style clock
This clock has a brass case with turned feet and it has never been polished. The dial is simply wonderful. It shows a European lamplighter on his rounds with his dog. He is carrying a candle and a bell. As the clock ticks, his arm swings back and forth as if he were ringing that bell. The dial is marked “Made in Germany”.
The quality is a bit better than average because it has a beveled glass. The hands are the originals.
This is a one day clock and it has been running well for me. It does not have an alarm so it was made just to be an animated clock. The animation works properly.
5 ½” tall with handle. SOLD
5073 German Delft porcelain plate clock
This blue and white clock has a perfect concave porcelain face without any hairlines or chips. The hands and pendulum are original.
This is an 8 day clock, time only, meaning it does not strike. It is in good running order.
9” square. $60
4044 German? Alarm clock
Judging from the case and the style of the movement I would think this was a German-made clock but I could find no markings anywhere. The case is mahogany but note that it once had some type of a gallery or railing with turnings on the top as indicated by the empty holes that are there now. The dial is celluloid to resemble porcelain and it is in good condition. The hands are the originals.
This is undoubtedly a one day timepiece with alarm. It has a balance movement, not pendulum and I could not get it to tick but the alarm does work.
8 ½ inches tall. $35
