Seth Thomas carved transition clock.

Great looking, well refinished mahogany case with only one tiny veneer chip on a back corner. Superior carvings with great detail and not one chip. Excellent dial and label. Moberg gold leaf reverse painting done on the original glass which does have a crack. Original hands, pendulum, weights and key. A fine example of a carved transition clock. 30 hour wood works with bell strike. 29 ½" tall.

Terry (?) - Pillar & Scroll - Rough, for parts

What you see is all there is. The mahogany case has the old original finish. It is missing the top, base and backboard. Both glasses are old but they have been replaced.

The dial has been poorly repainted. Original hour hand. The 30 hour wood works movement is a #1.116 which puts it in the Henry Terry group of makers. The movement, dial and case all seem to be original to each other with no extra mounting holes etc.

This is a 30 hour wood works movement which is complete and I did not see any damages to the teeth or pinions.

E. Terry & Sons carved transition.

The detail of the carvings is exceptional, much better than average and without one chip. There are a few small chips in the veneer and the ivory escutcheon is missing. The original finish is dark but would lighten up with some simple cleaning. Good dial and label. Excellent replacement gold leaf reverse painting done on the original glass. Original hands, pendulum, key and weights. 30 hour wood works with bell strike. 29" tall.

Rare Silas Hoadley carved column clock
with upside down movement and alarm.

Usually found with stenciled columns and splat, it is rare to find with fully carved columns, splat, paw feet and pineapple finials, especially in this condition. Refinished mahogany case with perfect veneer and not one chip to any of the carvings. The eagle is very well done. Great dial and label. Original weights, pendulum and hands - the tip of the alarm hand and all 3 glasses have been changed. 30 hour wood movement. It has new cords and appears to be in running order. 38" tall.

Rare J. C. Brown ripple beehive marketed by Daniel Pratt, Boston.

It will be hard to find a more honest, original example. The rosewood case is in the dark untouched original finish. I do not see one case nick, blemish, chip or scratch.

The cut glass tablet is excellent. The painted dial has a small whitish area under the 12, possibly from someone who started to clean it and wisely went no further. Original pendulum and barbed steel hands. The label is quite good.

Signed 8 day movement with strike and alarm. It has not been cleaned in many years.
18 ½" tall.

Rare Jerome and Darrow "Thin" movement clock.

It will be very hard to find a better example. The original stenciling is just superb with virtually no wear at all. The mahogany case has been nicely refinished with only minor veneer chips and a crack at the lower hinge.

Excellent dial and label plus original glass and mirror. Original hands, pendulum and weights. 30 hour wood works with internal bell strike. 35" tall.

Jeromes & Darrow stenciled column.

This is a better than average example because the stenciling is bright and crisp without any wear and is complimented by birdseye maple blocks above and below the columns. The mahogany veneer case is in the original finish. It does have a couple small veneer chips, one repaired spot on the left side of the door and a missing escutcheon. Very good dial and label. Original glass, mirror, hands, pendulum and weights. 30 hour wood works with bell strike. 32" tall.

Stenciled column clock, as found.

The mahogany case was refinished years ago. The top is loose and there are a couple spots that need some veneer. The columns have been painted black and the mahogany splat is a replacement. The Eli Terry label is a modern copy.

On the plus side, it has a great colorful dial, carved paw feet without damage and an original reverse painting - there is a not very noticeable vertical crack on the left side. Original hands and weights. 30 hour wood works with bell strike.

Custom pillar and scroll clock.

A fine looking clock at a fraction of the price of an original. Custom made about 30 years ago of mahogany veneer just like the originals. Clean and with only minor case blemishes.

The painted metal dial does have some paint lifting. Good reverse painted tablet. 8 day with hour and half hour strike Waterbury spring driven movement has a broken time mainspring. 31" tall.
