Rare Seth Thomas, Thomaston, Conn. shelf clock in superior condition.

An early clock in a mahogany case with a beautiful original finish. There are a few small veneer chips but otherwise the case is perfect. In the peak is the original gilded eagle and gilded finials, both of which have been painted gold.

The raised zinc dial has colorful painted corners and it is slightly yellowed. It retains the original glass and mirror, an excellent label, original hands, pendulum, and weights. 30 hour brass movement is in good running order. 28 ½" tall.

Seth Thomas column and cornice clock.

Not a terribly rare clock but this one is about as nice and example as you are likely to find. The case is rosewood and mahogany with a clean original finish and nearly perfect veneer. The two toned gold columns are exceptional. Usually they are badly worn or gold overpainted but these look great.

The raised zinc dial has just a couple small flaked spots, the label is virtually perfect and the reverse decorated tablet is colorful and in superior condition. Original pulley caps, hands, pendulum and weights. 30 hour brass movement with gong strike and in good running order. 25" tall.

An early model clock with restorations. The case is solid mahogany, clean and refinished. The door has been replaced but it was a good job and not really noticeable. The glass and mirror are old and look ok. The backboard has the original dark blue paper and a complete and legible card style label.

The dial is an incorrect old dial - it should be round and the upper glass should have decorated corners to frame the dial. Replaced hands, old pendulum and weights. 30 hour brass movement with gong strike in good running order. 22" tall.

Seth Thomas, Thomaston, Conn. miniature ogee.

At 16 ½" tall this miniature is a cute size and smaller than the photo makes it appear. The condition is perfect. The rosewood has not one veneer nick and the original finish has been cleaned and polished so it looks terrific.

The dial has been professionally repainted and the label is perfect. The reverse painted glass is a replacement but it is done with real gold leaf and actually looks very good. Original hands and pendulum. 30 hour time and strike with a round movement which is in good running order.

Waterbury Clock Co. Ogee

Waterbury Clock Co. Ogee clocks are certainly not rare so if you are going to buy one, it should be a good one and this one is. The figured mahogany case looks great with a nicely cleaned original finish and virtually perfect veneer.

The reverse decorated tablet is great with a stenciled border and a hand painted scene of a beehive in the center. It has a painted zinc dial and a label which has darkened. Original hands, pendulum, key and weights. 30 hour brass movement with gong strike. Good running order. 26" tall.

New Haven Clock Co. column and cornice clock.

This case is just great. It is rosewood with an original clean finish and just a couple small veneer chips. The turned columns are perfect.

All three glasses are original. There is some flaking in the background color of the two reverse paintings. The painted zinc dial is excellent and it has a good label.

Original hands, pendulum and weights. 8 day brass movement with hourly gong strike plus alarm. 33" tall.

Waterbury shelf clock.

This clock is in great condition, totally original, in good running order and ready for your shelf. It has a rosewood case with perfect veneer, the original finish and it would look even better with just a bit of cleaning.

Both painted glasses are original and almost totally free of flaking. The painted zinc dial is very good with just a bit of corner flaking which does not show when the door is closed. Complete and legible label. It has the original hands, pendulum and weights. 30 hour with gong strike. 25 1/2 " tall.

Waterbury shelf clock

This is a sister model to the one above. Rosewood case in the original finish which has been nicely cleaned and polished. There are only a few small corner nicks. Both decorated tablets are original and in perfect condition. The lower tablet is great with a patriotic eagle, shield, banner etc.

The label and painted zinc dial are both in fine condition. The door has a patent label of 1857. Original hands, pendulum and signed key. 30 hour brass movement with gong strike and it good running order. It is ready for your shelf. 21" tall.
