Gilbert mantel clock

Gilbert mantel clock in "as is" condition. This clock has a mahogany case which needs cleaning and a small piece of wood for the right front foot. The celluloid dial is discolored and the ring to hold the glass into the bezel is loose. It has the original hands, pendulum and key. It an 8 day clock with hourly strike on a gong and half hour strike on a bell. The movement is sound but in need of cleaning. 11 ½" tall.

Seth Thomas mantle clock

Seth Thomas mantle clock. The mahogany case is in good condition without any damages but it would look much better if it had a simple cleaning. It has a good signed dial which is painted to look like porcelain. The hands and pendulum are original. This eight day clock has the robust No. 89 movement and is in good running order. It strikes the hours and half hours on a cathedral gong. 10" tall.

Sessions mantle clock. I believe this case is maple with a dark stain and the original finish. There are no case chips or damages. The celluloid dial shows some crazing lines. It has a good label plus the original hands and pendulum. This is an eight day timepiece, no strike, and it is running. 13" tall.

Seth Thomas mantel clock. The mahogany case is clean and refinished but it does have a significant sliver of wood off the top rear of the case. The signed celluloid dial shows some discoloration. It has the original hands and pendulum. The eight day No. 89 movement strikes the hours on a gong. The movement needs cleaning and probably some bushing work. 13" tall.

Ingraham "Doric" mantle clock

Ingraham "Doric" mantle clock. The case is rosewood with ebonized trim and there are no veneer chips or damages. It has the original finish and with just a bit of cleaning it would look even better. There is a good, original goldleaf and reverse painted tablet, the original dial paper and a complete and legible label. It has the original hands and pendulum. This is an eight day clock with hourly strike on a coiled gong. The movement appears to be sound but it is long overdue for a cleaning. 16" tall.

Jerome cottage clock.

This clock has a rosewood case with perfect veneer. All it needs to look great is a bit of surface cleaning. It retains both original black and gold reverse painted glasses which are in perfect condition.

There is an excellent label printed on a wooden panel in the door. The case interior has the correct printed paper on the backboard. The paint on the zinc dial is flaking as is typical with these Jerome clocks. The hands, pendulum and key are the originals.

This is an eight-day clock with hourly strike on a gong. It is ticking and striking but it will need a cleaning and perhaps a bushing to run properly. 14 inches tall.

Unsigned Cottage Clock

The mahogany case has numerous veneer chips on the base and the dial shows some flaking. It has the original hands, pendulum, key and decorated glass. This is a one-day timepiece -- no strike. It ticks but does not stay running. 12 inches tall.

Rare miniature case on case clock.

The mahogany and rosewood case could use a better coat of finish but the veneer is in very good condition. The quarter columns have been repainted gold. The reverse painted tablets are very good copies of the originals. Repainted dial, no label. Original hands, pendulum and key. 8 day with strike movement is signed New Haven. Only 14 ½" tall.

Seth Thomas "Abbey" miniature mantle clock

Seth Thomas "Abbey" miniature mantle clock. This model has always been popular because it has such a good look in a small size and the quality of the movement and case is above average. The case is solid mahogany in the original finish with reeded quarter columns and satinwood inlay. It has a signed silvered dial with raised brass numerals, brass hands and a heavy cast brass bezel with a convex beveled glass plus the original pendulum and key. This model has the round eight day movement with strike on a large, resonant, cathedral gong. The movement is in need of cleaning. Only 9 1/2" tall.

Waterbury cottage clock

Waterbury cottage clock. This clock has a clean, refinished mahogany case with just a couple of fairly small veneer chips. It has a new dial paper pasted over the original painted dial. The original reverse painted tablet of a cluster of grapes has some flaking. The label is dark but legible label. This is a 30 hour clock which strikes the hours on a coiled gong. It is running. 13" tall.
