Sessions miniature pillar and scroll clock. This clock has a solid mahogany case under a dark original finish. There are no case chips or damages. It has turned wood finials, a good colorful dial and the original pendulum. The hands have been replaced and the minute hand is a bit too long. This is an eight day clock with hour and half hour strike on a gong and it is running. 17 1/2" tall.

Clock #1042

French marble clock

French marble clock. The case is black marble with red and white inlay panels. I counted three small marble flakes on the edges. The shine is somewhat dull and it would benefit from a polishing. The porcelain dial is perfect and it is framed by a fancy cast brass bezel with a deeply beveled glass. It has the original hands and a replaced pendulum. This is an eight day timepiece - no strike. It is running but I am sure it is due for a cleaning. 13 inches tall and 15 1/2 inches wide.

Clock #1043

French marble clock

French marble clock. This two-tone marble case is in good condition without any chips or cracks but the finish is very dull and it really needs to be polished. The porcelain dial is in excellent condition with just a bit of roughness around the winding arbor. The pendulum and minute hand have been replaced. This is an eight day timepiece - no strike. It is ticking but I am sure it is in need of cleaning. 10" tall.

Clock #1046

Seth Thomas tambour mantle clock

Seth Thomas tambour mantle clock. This mahogany case is in good condition with the original finish. It has a signed silvered dial with applied brass numerals. The hands are brass and it has a heavy cast brass bezel with a convex bevel glass. It has the good quality No. 120 round movement and a highly resonant cathedral gong. The movement looks sound but it is very sluggish and it will certainly need a cleaning. 9 inches tall and 21 inches wide.

Clock #1069

Sangamo electric tambour clock

Sangamo electric tambour clock. These clocks have become quite collectible because they date from the early part of the electric clock age. While providing a modern movement for that time, they still used the traditional clock case form. Sangamo was always known for providing a good quality case and movement which is true for this clock. The mahogany case has raised burl panels and it is in very good condition. It has a very good signed dial with a center section that revolves to show the seconds motion. They probably did this so the owner would know that the clock is actually running because there would be no sound or pendulum motion that they would be accustomed to in the traditional pendulum style clock. There is a quality cast brass bezel with a heavily beveled glass. This clock is running but it was sitting idle for many years so it should be oiled at the least. 6 inches tall and 15 inches wide.

Clock #98033 Ansonia "Regent" clock.

A large and impressive clock. The case was repainted gold many years ago. I looked it over carefully and did not find any broken or missing pieces. This model has the extra fancy dial with separate blue porcelain numerals and serpents at the open escapement. It has a cast brass bezel with a heavily beveled glass.

Original brass hands, pendulum and key. This is an 8 day model with hour and half hour strike on a cathedral gong and it is running. 22" tall.

Clock #9038

Gilbert "No. 428" porcelain clock.

The fault with this blue porcelain case is that the upper right-hand corner has been chipped off. There is another small chip near the very top. The porcelain dial is signed and perfect. It has a brass dial center and a cast brass bezel. The hands are original with the pendulum and key being replacements.

This is an eight-day model with hour and a half hour strike on a gong. This clock has not been run in many years and the movement has a broken strike mainspring. 10 1/2 inches tall.

Clock #9040

Unsigned iron cased clock.

The case has a black background with mother of pearl, painted and stenciled decorations. There are numerous losses to the mother-of-pearl on the upper portion of the clock. The painted zinc dial shows some wear on the numerals and the tip of the hour hand is missing. The glass in the lower bezel is broken.

This has an eight-day time in strike movement which is in need of cleaning. 16 inches tall.

Clock #1044

Seth Thomas adamantine mantle clock

Seth Thomas adamantine mantle clock. This black and green adamantine case is in pretty good shape but for some bits of mouse chewings at the back edges of the base. There are lion heads at the sides plus cast metal trim on the columns. It has a good signed paper dial, a fairly good label and the original hands and pendulum. This is an eight day clock that strikes the hours on a gong and half hours on a bell. It is running. 11 inches tall and 15 1/2 inches wide.

Clock #1045

Ansonia "Russia" iron case mantle clock

Ansonia "Russia" iron case mantle clock. Ansonia made these cases in enameled iron to resemble the French marble clocks. This one has some losses of the enameled paint on the top and on the edges. The front is decorated with gold incising. I believe the two-part dial is made of gutta percha. It has an open escapement with gold gilt hands and a cast brass bezel with a heavily beveled glass. It retains the original pendulum and key. The eight-day movement has mainspring barrels and is very heavily embossed. It is an eight day clock with hourly strike on a gong. It is running but I am sure it is due for a cleaning. 10 1/2 inches tall, 18 inches wide.

Clock #1046X

New Haven tambour clock

New Haven tambour clock. The mahogany case is in quite good condition with the original finish but note that there are some scratches in that finish at the right edge of the bezel. Probably cased by a prior owner not taking care as he opened the bezel. The clock has a silver colored dial and the original hands and pendulum. 8 day with hour and half hour strike on a gong. It is running but overdue for a cleaning. 18" wide.

Clock #1046Y

Seth Thomas tambour mantle clock

Seth Thomas tambour mantle clock. The case is mahogany with the original finish which has been cleaned and polished. There are no case damages or problems. The porcelain dial is signed. Note that the center of the dial has a porcelain repair and the color is not a good match. It has a cast brass bezel with a convex glass plus the original hands and pendulum. This is an 8 day clock with hour and half hour strike on a gong. It is running. 21" wide.

Clock #1071

General Electric tambour clock

General Electric tambour clock. Like the Sangamo clock above, this one by General Electric provided the ease of a modern movement, which did not need winding, and a traditional case style. The mahogany case is in excellent, clean condition. The oval dial is signed, in great shape and has a brass bezel with a beveled glass. It has brass hands with a center sweep seconds hand. What makes this clock special is that it strikes Westminster chimes on the quarter hours on four resonant rods, then it strikes the hours. It is in good running order. The clock measures 7 inches tall and 16 1/2 inches wide.

Clock #1113

Hamilton Clock Co., Hamilton, Ontario, Canada

Hamilton Clock Co., Hamilton, Ontario, Canada. This clock has lost all of the veneer on the front carved portion of the case but it still should be of interest to those collectors of Canadian clocks. It has the original decorated glass and a painted zinc dial which has yellowed. The hands and pendulum are original as is the plain papered backboard. The 30 hour movement strikes on a gong and it is signed "Hamilton Clock Co., Hamilton, Ont." The movement is very dirty. 16 ½" tall.

Clock #9041

Chauncey Jerome cast metal shelf clock.

This is quite an unusual model and I do not believe I have owned one before. It has a wood case with a cast metal front which has been nicely colored to look like cast brass. The color is very good and there are no case cracks or damage

This is an eight-day clock with hourly strike on a gong. It is 14 inches tall.
