Clock #7002 New Hampshire Striking Mirror Clock. I believe the upper glass is original also. It has gold leaf corners
against a light colored background with no flaking or lifting. There
is a crack which is now wisely supported by a thin piece of glass
behind the original and that helps the stability and looks of the
upper glass. The dial is painted on iron and it is fine with no lifting or flaking.
It has the original hands and pendulum. The weights are replacements
of the correct style. It is running but the strike is sluggish so
it is due for a cleaning. Unusual outside bell model. 28" tall. New Hampshire Mirror Clock closeup / closeup2 / closeup3 / dial / dial2

Clock #9002 New Hampshire striking mirror clock. This clock was fully restored some years ago. The gold leaf frame has been completely redone along with the reverse painted upper glass with gold leaf corners. It was a very good, professionally done job. The dial is in good condition with the original paint. I looked at it carefully but did not see any signature. The mirror is the correct old mercury style. The hands and both lead weights are correct style replacements. This is an eight day clock with hourly strike on an iron bell. It has been well cared for and it is running. It is a clean, great looking clock that is ready for your wall. 29" tall. New Hampshire striking mirror clock - closeup / closeup2 / closeup3 / dial / interior / / movement / order - SOLD |

Clock #6157 Period banjo clock probably by John Sawin or Sawin and Dyar of Boston. Mahogany case in the original finish which has been rubbed down and polished. Half rounded mahogany on the door and throat which are also stamped with a numeral 1 on their backs. Normal shrinkage checking and one piece was replaced. There is no evidence that this clock ever had sidearms. The door is lacking a knob and the finial is a replacement. The dial is iron with the original paint in good condition. I did not find a signature. The dial is held on with three twist screws. The bezel is heavy brass and the glass is held in with three brass tabs screwed to the bezel. The chimney cap is original and extends to the back of the case. The brass tie down extends the width of the tin separator as do many Boston banjos. Typical Sawin spear hands. The hour is original, the minute is a replacement. Also, typical of Sawin are the 2 tabs on the backplate to secure the movement to the case. Both gold leaf glasses have been repainted on old glass but they may be copies of the originals because that pattern is seen on other Boston area banjos. The pendulum, pulley and lead weight are the originals and I guarantee that the movement, dial and case are original to each other. 8 day timepiece in good running order. 33" tall. Clock #7003 New Hampshire Striking Mirror Clock
This clock has a mahogany case which was refinished years ago so
it has had time to develop a good warm look and it is in very good
condition. It has a gold gilt frame around the outer edge and around
both glasses. This edge has been overpainted gold. The mirror appears to be an old replacement. The upper reverse painted
tablet has been redone in the proper style on old glass. The original
dial is painted on iron and it is excellent condition with no lifting
or flaking. The pendulum and steel hands are the originals. The weights
have been replaced with those of the proper style and weight. The clock is running and striking properly but it was in storage for many years and is overdue for a cleaning. 31 ½" tall. New Hampshire Mirror Clock closeup / closeup2 / closeup3 / side / dial

Clock #1005 Foster Campos, Pembroke, Mass. "Willard Banjo Clock." Foster Campos, Pembroke, Mass. "Willard Banjo Clock." This is a single owner clock which has been wonderfully cared for by the family who purchased it directly from Foster in 1993. It is in pristine condition showing no signs of wear or use. The family had Foster sign the clock on the interior. The crossbanding, gold leaf glasses and signed painted dial are perfect and it has the special large solid brass eagle finial. This is a clock that anyone would be proud to display in their home. It has a quality eight day brass, weight driven movement. 42" inches tall. Foster Campos, Pembroke, Mass. Clock #6165 John Polsey Regulator No. 4 banjo clock. Fresh out of a Vermont home with no alterations or restorations. This clock has an untouched original finish which looks dark because of 150 years of accumulated dust, furniture polish etc. The good news it that this has protected the original rosewood graining underneath which would be brought out with some cleaning. Many folks prefer the clock to be just as it is found so I have left it that way. Both black and gold glasses are original and you can see that they have some foxing I guess you might call it, but the paint is all tight and not lifting at all. The dial is painted and there is no paint loss except for that small spot at the center arbor. It is signed "John Polsey & Co. Boston". Polsey is a well documented company which was in business in Boston in the 1860's, during the same time period as Howard. Their clocks resemble Howard's in many ways such as the glass styles and the push button latches on both doors. This clock has the original hands, brass pendulum bob with painted wood rod, cast iron weight with the numeral "4" impressed, pulley and even the key. It is an 8 day weight driven timepiece with a movement signed "D P & Co.". I have not tried running it but the movement looks well cared for, has a recently changed brass cable and it is not likely that there will be any running difficulties. This clock is 32" tall, just like the Howard No. 4. closeup / dial / tablet / tablet2 / interior / order - SOLD |

Clock #7062 Howard Crossbanded Banjo Clock Crossbanded mahogany case is in good clean condition with a nice
finish. Two fine original reverse painted glasses. Unsigned painted
dial with no flaws. The movement is signed "Made by Howard, Waltham Mass., Colonial
Mfg.". Probably made for an order from the Colonial Mfg. Co. perhaps
in the 1970"s. Overall excellent condition and in good running order. This is an 8 day timepiece. 32 ½" tall. Howard Crossbanded Banjo Clock closeup / closeup2 / dial / interior / movement / tablet / tablet2 / order - SOLD |

or faults. Both painted glasses are original and in perfect condition.
The silvered dial is signed and shows very little wear. This clock has the original hands, pendulum, brass eagle finial,
signed key and brass sidearms. 8 day with two note chime on the hour and a single note on the half hour. 39" tall. Ingraham Treasure Island Banjo Clock closeup / closeup2 / dial / interior / tablet order - SOLD |

Clock #1106 Sangamo banjo clock. The Sangamo company produced very high quality clocks at the beginning of the electric clock era. In this situation, they purchased banjo clock cases from the Waltham clock company and installed their own electric movements. This case is identical to those shown in the Waltham books. The mahogany crossbanded case, goldleaf glasses, distinctive brass sidearms and brass eagle finial are all original and nearly perfect. It has an excellent signed dial. The only alteration is that the original striking Sangamo movement was taken out and a replacement non-striking electric movement was installed. 41" tall. Clock #1100 Seth Thomas Queen Anne "No. 1" wall regulator Seth Thomas Queen Anne "No. 1" wall regulator. This is the early model made in the mid-1880s. The solid walnut case is clean and refinished. There are two short shrinkage cracks at the top of the door but the rest of the case is fine with fully turned columns on the front and turned spindles on the base. It has the original painted dial with the early script signature, a good label plus the original glass, hands, key and brass pendulum. This is an eight day clock with hourly strike on a large brass bell. 36 inches tall. Seth Thomas Queen Anne "No. 1" wall regulator - closeup / order - SOLD |

Clock #9001 Seth Thomas No. 17 Regulator Clock. A great clock in superior original condition plus it has a bit of railroad history. This clock has a solid oak case with a dark old finish. There are no case chips or damages at all. The finials and bottom fretwork are all intact. The 14 inch dial is in excellent condition and it notes that this clock once hung in a station of the West Jersey and Seashore Railroad. It has an inventory number "98". The West Jersey and Seashore Railroad was incorporated in 1896 and lasted until 1933. The clock comes directly from a family in southern New Jersey where it had remained since it was removed from the train station. It has not been tampered with or altered in any way. Both glasses on this clock are original and the lower one has the original "Standard Clock" reverse painting. This clock retains the original hands, pendulum, brass weight with knurled top and bottom, distinctive pulley, beat indicator and key. The pendulum bob is 8 inches in diameter. It does have some small dents from hitting the weight. The movement was recently serviced and it is in good running order. It runs about 10 days on one winding. This clock is 67 inches tall. Seth

Clock #7069 Ansonia Hanging Santa Fe Clock This is a very strange item. The solid walnut case has a clean, untouched
original finish and it looks great but it is missing the very top
crest. The paper dial is signed and shows just a bit of wear. Excellent
brass pendulum with no dents. Original hands, glass and signed beat
scale. The interesting part is the movement. It is 8 day spring driven
but it only and always strikes 12. It is not a damage or poor repair
or altered movement. The count wheel has three segments - all for
the count of 12. This was clearly done at the factory. Some fraternal organizations did have clocks that struck odd times or hours and this clock did have connections to the Knights of Columbus but the answer is a mystery. Someone has now silenced that strike but that can be corrected. 47" tall. Ansonia Hanging Santa Fe Clock closeup / closeup2 / closeup3 / order - SOLD

Clock #9005 Gustav Becker
Vienna regulator clock. It has a two part dial with a silver and brass outer ring and a brass inner portion. The engraving on the dial, weights and pendulum all match each other. All parts, including the hands are original to this case. This is an eight day clock with hourly strike on a single rod. It is running and striking properly but is probably due for a cleaning. The clock stands 44 inches tall. closeup - of Gustav Becker Vienna regulator clock. / closeup2 / closeup3 / closeup4 / dial / interior /

Clock #7070 Chelsea No. 1 Pendulum Regulator Clock Chelsea No.1 Pendulum Regulator clock. Refinished solid oak case in good clean condition with no damages. The dial has been professionally repainted and it looks great. The hands, pendulum and weight are all correct and original. The oak separator board between the weight and pendulum was changed to one of tin. This is an 8 day timepiece and it is in good running order. The movement is signed and has a serial number of 11342. It is 34 1/2"tall. Chelsea No. 1 Pendulum Regulator Clock closeup / closeup2 / order - SOLD

Clock #7071 Seth Thomas early No.2 Regulator Clock The clean, refinished mahogany case is in much better than average
condition. The gold decorated glass is original and perfect without any flaws
and the painted dial is in great shape with only minor touch ups at
the screw holes. Original hands, pendulum and iron weight. Very good label. 8 day timepiece in good running order. 33" tall. Seth Thomas early No. 2 Regulator clock. closeup / order - SOLD |

Clock #7088 Seth Thomas #3 Regulator Clock Seth Thomas Regulator No. 3. Because of the multitude of tight convex
and concave moldings on this clock it normally has a great deal of
veneer lifting and chipping problems. This one is in amazingly good
condition especially when you consider it is a mahogany case of figured
and burl veneer which is even more fragile than normal. The few small
chips are very minor. The signed painted dial is in exceptional condition. Crisp and clean
with the only flaking being small and at the screw holes. Original hands, knurled brass weight, distinctive pulley, pendulum,
beat scale and key. Both glasses are original and it has a good label.
Truly, the only fault I can find is that the silver leaf trim around
the lower door is worn down from years of cleaning and that is easily
restored if you wish. This is an 8 day timepiece. It is running but I do not know when it was last serviced. 42" tall with a 14" dial. Seth Thomas #3 Regulator Clock closeup / closeup2 / Closeup3 / dial / interior / movement / order - SOLD |

Clock #6077 Seth Thomas "Regulator No. 2". This is quite a nice clock in very clean condition. The oak case has had the original finish rubbed down and polished and looks very good. There are no veneer chips or damages but the "bow tie" piece under the dial has been replaced and done with a good color match. This is the style with the solid wood bezel. The painted dial is in much better than average condition with almost no wear or paint loss. The brass pendulum and weight are original and they have not been polished. Original hands, key and beat scale. This is an 8 day timepiece movement which is in good running order but the cable is just a bit short. 36" tall. Clock #8002 One of the very best you are likely to find and
in the very best case - cherry. A very hard example to find and the
condition is wonderful. Original from top to bottom with a great dial
plus the correct hands, pendulum, weight, pulley, beat scale, glass,
label and key. Excellent original finish and perfect veneer. It is
in good running order. 35 12" tall. Seth Thomas No. 2 Regulator / closeup2 / closeup3 / order - SOLD |

Clock #8060
Rare Atkins Clock Co. Bristol, Conn. "Equalizing Spring 30 THIRTY DAY CLOCK". Thus reads the label on this fine clock. This clock has a rosewood
case with ripple moldings, as it should and it retains both ivory
knobs. It has been nicely refinished and there are only a few quite
minor veneer nicks. Atkins Clock Co. 30 THIRTY DAY CLOCK" - closeup / closeup2 / dial / order - SOLD |

Clock #8041 Silas B. Terry Terryville, Conn. regulator clock. This regulator clock has a clean, refinished mahogany case with
only a few small chips on the outer edge of the upper door. The label-separator
board with beat scale is original but cracked in a couple spots. Silas B. Terry regulator clock - closeup / dial / label / movement / tablet / order - SOLD |
